About Us
IDENTIFiD was formed in 2004 to be the first universal identity confirmation service. The system was originally designed to stop the growing threats from identity theft and fraud. It is protected under our U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 11/150,355 filed on June 9, 2005 and titled Identity Verification System. IDENTIFiD received Patent Application Publication No. US 2006/0101508 on May 11, 2006. The patent applications were done in the name of the inventor (and our founder), John M. Taylor, with exclusive use assigned to IDENTIFiD.
As the design and development of the system evolved, it became evident that the system had much broader applications than originally conceived. To summarize our intentions:
- Our Goals are to facilitate commerce, improve security and ensure privacy;
- Our Mission is to make identity fraud a crime of the past;
- Our Vision is to become THE international clearinghouse for identity confirmations.
