Identity Confirmation Service

The IDENTIFiD Identity Confirmation Service (ICS) can be described as a process to accurately confirm a member's identity PRIOR to their engaging in a transaction with an IDENTIFiD business partner. Examples would include making a deposit with a bank teller, entering a secured building or room, engaging in e-commerce, or going through customs at a border crossing. Using IDENTIFiD's ICS, both the member and the business partner are protected from identity thieves doing transactions in the member's name. ICS is accurate because it doesn't rely on picture IDs, social security numbers or passwords for identification. These items are too easily stolen, forged, lost or forgotten. IDENTIFiD's system relies on the only identification that cannot be forged or stolen from individuals - their biometric data.

Through participating financial institutions and agencies, individuals will register their fingerprints, facial photo and iris photos on a universal, secure identity database, managed by IDENTIFiD. Because of the universal nature of our product, the member will have to sign up only once to be protected at any institution or business using the IDENTIFiD service, worldwide. Once registered, the consumer is also protected by IDENTIFiD's @Home service for stronger on-line banking authentication. When a participating customer asks for confirmation of a member's identity, IDENTIFiD accesses the data base and determines if the biometric information given, in-person or on-line, by the individual is a match or not.

The sooner you sign up, the sooner you're covered. Once you're in the system, no one else can act as if they're you when dealing with an IDENTIFiD business partner (due to the uniqueness of your biometrics).
