Management
- John M. Taylor - President, CEO and company founder. John's first contribution was to come up with the idea for the concept and system architecture of IDENTIFiD; second was to assemble the management team to take the idea from concept to practice. In addition to leading with his vision for IDENTIFiD, his major strengths are system design, facilitating cooperation among cross-functional project teams to ensure performance quality, on-time delivery schedules, adherence to budget and maximization of profit potential. John has 15 years experience in a variety of information technology assignments, starting as Director of Document Imaging for Missouri Information Solutions. At Sprint, he led a team that designed a national, Internet-accessed database system. As Program Director for DXR, a medical supply co., he redesigned database systems and created a Just-In-Time purchasing ordering system. Senior Project Manager for Saratoga Systems, a provider of client relationship management software systems; consulted with staff and customers to plan, design, develop and implement installation of new and upgraded systems.
- Tony O’Brien – Chief Technology Officer. Tony has almost 30 years of experience in the design and implementation of software systems. He began his career as a "research scientist" in an international data communications company and, with continuously increasing responsibilities, he developed a rich understanding of software architectures and coding techniques. As a hands-on Director Of Engineering, he developed a deep understanding of hardware and software system interaction and a substantial debugging prowess with particular experience in the subtleties regarding designing and implementing "real-time" systems. In the last 10 years, Tony has had the opportunity to work with most of the original companies in the field of iris biometrics and has also developed iris biometric solutions for at least two of the largest companies in the field today. Tony also co-developed the iris identification system for the United Nations repatriation project used along the Afghanistan border between 2002 and 2006. Tony possesses an excellent knowledge of software tools, environments, and languages. He has been particularly successful in complete custom designs of multi-discipline applications, requiring graphical user-interfaces, communications, mathematical computations, and database storage and retrieval. Tony holds a B.S.(with high honors) in Environmental Science from Rutgers University and an M.S. in Physical Oceanography from Texas A&M University.
- Randy Glass – V.P. of Engineering. Randal Glass has a virtually unmatched history with iris recognition and its use in real world applications. He has over ten years experience with the technology, starting as Sensar's first full-time software developer in early 1997. After designing software for the world's first iris recognition system used in banking and automated teller machines, he was responsible for architecting and implementing the first client/server-based iris recognition system. This architecture provided several firsts in the field, including web integration, multiple camera interoperability, and cryptographically secured transactions; Randal was the key inventor on several patents issued along these lines; these inventions served as the basis for iris' DOD/Common Criteria certification as well as several industry awards. Randal was asked to serve as the senior software architect when Sensar and IriScan merged to form Iridian, whereupon the system was commercially released as the PrivateID/KnoWho product. Randal designed and lead integration efforts with partners such as Siemens, OKI, Computer Associates, Panasonic, Citicorp, as well as several US and foreign government agencies, and co-developed the system used by the United Nations to repatriate Afghan refugees from 2002-2006. Randal presently consults as a technologist, specifically in matters relating to software development and design, targeting the biometrics and security industry specifically. Randal received a BS in Computer Science (cum Laude) from the University of Delaware in 1993. Besides iris recognition, Randal has experience with robotics, operating systems design, applications design, and software engineering.
- Jereme “Gunny” Gunnuscio, V.P. of IT - Gunny oversees the IT and tech support functions for the company. Gunny has 10 years experience within Department of Defense/Air Force in the IT field, including networking, server support, database administration and small computer support. He implemented PKI/smart card security for LAN configuration with the Air Force. He currently holds Secret DoD security clearance (previously held Top Secret clearance when his job required it).
